Summer Camps for Kids – REGISTER NOW!


Books & Cooks July 7 - 11; 9 to 11 a.m.; Cost $85; Ages 6 to 11. Children are read a book and after reading time, they go into the kitchen to create a special dish from the book they read! Our culinary instructor will work to help each child learn about ingredients and how to prepare and cook a dish. Classes are led by our sweet and gregarious, Natasha Jackson, who has a degree in baking & pastry arts from Sullivan University. Miss Jackson is currently an Executive Chef at Willow Park Retirement Home. She often shares her love of cooking with her son who confirms, "Mom you're a good cooker."

Arts and Artists July 21 -25; 10 a.m. to Noon; Cost $85; Ages 6-10. In "Arts and Artists," children will learn about a famous master in a fun introduction and follow up with an art project to reflect that master's work. Taught by highly talented instructor, Mary Anne Saag. Mary Anne is a Certified Elementary School Art Teacher and previously served as Arts Program Coordinator for VSA Arts of Florida - Palm Beach County. Mary Anne holds a Bachelor's degree in fine Arts with a minor in Theater and currently consults with local area arts councils, centers, agencies, and area county school districts on development of art programs with students of varying disabilities.

Riverbend Academy School of Visual & Performing Arts is comprised of Institutes in the areas of Visual Arts, Music, Performing Arts and Culinary.

Serving the Tri-State, Riverbend Academy is a 501(c)3 non-profit in good standing with the State of Kentucky. We are an ecumenical, God-centered organization with a mission to offer superior arts education to everyone regardless of age, race, ability, disability or socio-economic status.

Through teaching the arts in various disciplines, Riverbend Academy desires to bring about hope, transform lives and fuse various people and talents while generating talented new artists.
